Mary The Summoning

MARY THE SUMMONING
 by HILLARY MONAHAN
This novel is about the ghost story that everybody know.. Bloody Mary. Except it's not quite like the ghost tale you grew up with. There is a right and a wrong way to summon Bloody Mary, let's just say these girls figure that out really quickly. Summoning requirements: four young woman, a dark room, a mirror, a line of salt against the mirror and a single candle. Bloody Mary arrives soon after they start the first chants of Bloody Mary... Bloody Mary... BLOODY MARY, scaring the girls out of their wits. They quickly end the summoning and scurry away from the mirror. One of the girls though was not satisfied with just that brief glimpse of the afterlife. She convinces her reluctant friends to try again, except this time Mary is ready for them, and the girls are not as careful as they should have been. Let's just say they have not seen the last of that particular bloodthirsty ghost.
This is an awesome novel that every horror-lover should read. No matter how many times I have read this novel I still feel the need to cover my mirrors days after finishing it. Recommended for lovers of the paranormal and horror novels.
